LITO MARE
The Lito Mare luxury yacht Case Study
Advanced yacht propulsion solution for Lito Mare luxury yacht
The Lito Mare project marked an important milestone for the Greek pleasure marine sector, introducing the first installation of the Baudouin 6F21 propulsion platform in Greece through the engineering and technical support of XANTHIS S.A.
Developed for a luxurious 26-meter private pleasure boat, the project combined advanced marine propulsion technology with the performance, efficiency, and reliability required in modern yachting applications.
The propulsion package, supplied and technically supported by XANTHIS S.A., consists of 2 Baudouin 6F21 marine engines delivering 815 HP (599 kW) each at 2300 RPM under P3 Intermittent Duty conditions.
Compact power for luxury cruising
With a combined output of 1630 HP (1200 kW), Lito Mare achieves a cruising speed of 17 knots while delivering reliable performance for leisure cruising applications.
The 26-meter GRP-hulled vessel accommodates up to 11 passengers in style and comfort, combining refined onboard experience with advanced marine engineering. The compact dimensions and high-power density of the 6F21 engine series provided an ideal propulsion solution for the vessel’s operational requirements, while allowing optimized integration within the yacht’s engine room configuration.
Fuel efficiency without compromising performance
The selection of the Baudouin 6F21 platform was driven by the project’s demand for compactness, fuel efficiency, operational reliability, and reduced emissions compared to previous engine models.
Designed to comply with IMO II and EPA 3-REC standards, the propulsion system delivers high performance while supporting reduced environmental impact and improved operational efficiency during extended voyages.
The fuel-efficient propulsion architecture also plays an important role in reducing operating costs, making the vessel particularly well suited for modern leisure cruising operations.
Optimized marine engineering for modern yachting
The installation of the propulsion package was carried out by a specialized subcontracted workshop appointed by the vessel owners, while XANTHIS S.A. coordinated the delivery process and provided engineering and technical support to ensure seamless integration into the yacht’s onboard systems.
The successful completion of the project further demonstrates the ability of XANTHIS S.A. to deliver customized marine propulsion solutions for demanding marine applications, combining technical expertise, reliable support, and advanced propulsion technology.
Today, Lito Mare stands as an example of marine engineering performance, operational reliability, and environmental responsibility within the luxury pleasure yacht sector.
