Product Overview
The BetaSet / BetaGen 14/4 is a reliable and compact 4‑pole marine generator set delivering between 13.5 kVA (50 Hz) and 18.0 kVA (60 Hz). Powered by a 3-cylinder Kubota-based diesel engine (~1,647 cc) with mechanical governance, it is ideal for μ-scale vessel applications and fully compliant with CCNR Stage IIIA emissions standards. Units are available with heat exchanger, keel, or optional radiator cooling.

- PSM720 start/stop protection module (3 m cable): hour meter + safety shutdown
- Mecc Alte marine alternator: single bearing, 0.8 pf, IP22, with AVR
- Close-coupled mounting on anti-vibration marine feet
- Factory full-load tested (QA023 standard), tri-wall packed on wooden base
Emissions & Compliance
- CCNR Stage IIIA compliant – for inland waterways on vessels <20 m or <100 m³
- Not suitable for Lake Constance (BSO rules apply)
- EPA-compliant variants available upon request
- Rated outputs de-rated by ~8% at ambient temps >45 °C
